ramadan mubarak

alright so i'm a little late, but you know, baby and all... but anyway, ramadan mubarak to everyone! i'm fasting and nursing, and just leaving the results to Allah. i mean, he's almost 18 months. still trying to get him to eat more at each meal (this morning, 7/8 of a waffle and half a large peach. i had to shove the 7th waffle piece in his mouth and i gave up on the eighth. does that sound like a decent breakfast for a 1.5 year old? oh, and also a sippy cup with milk, but he had maybe one ounce of it. and yes, i did nurse him at night, and in the morning while he was still sleeping (meaning he woke and came crawling and clawing up to me trying to get at his milk then dozed back off). but i fed him breakfast because he was trying to nurse again, so he WAS hungry.)
anyway! alhamdulillah so far so good. it feels so good to be fasting again - i couldn't imagine not fasting a third ramadan in a row.
got work to do, and this is the only time i can do it, sinc eit's sunday and hubby is upstairs with musa, so off i go...

so i haven't been blogging, apologies to my legions of readers for keeping you all hanging :) we left aug. 26 for a road trip to nova scotia, and came back this past sunday night (left portland, me at 11 a.m. and got home just before 11 p.m.). stayed in kittery me, port greville ns, antigonish ns (home of the highland games!), two nights in baddeck ns (in the lovely cape breton island), then mahone bay ns, then portland me, then home. got errands to run today or i'd sit and compose a nice creative detailed blog about it, but i will tell more i promise inshallah! got to run for now... have a wedding to shoot this weekend too and got to get ready...
