The Glittering Caves

...evening comes: they fade and twinkle out; the torches pass on into another chamber and another dream.

night nursing

okay so reading these stories makes me feel SO much better about night nursing at this stage! i've been looking everywhere for information on nursing at night, etc, and so much of it has to do with babies who are one year or younger. it's different with a toddler. and it's so good to know there are people out there who night nurse and co sleep even up to 20 months - i felt like such a reject, or such a lazy mom (like i couldn't be doing this for his sake, it must be for mine...) (yeah, i just grew to love not sleeping through the night myself anymore!). best of all, it is good to read that it is POSSIBLE, and not only that, but not too awful in the end, to wean at night, keep co-sleeping, keep nursing in the day, etc. of course this all depends on musa and how he takes it, but i think it's getting to be time to night wean at least. maybe in a month or two? i think it'll help his sleep schedule and his daytime eating habits, or at least i hope so inshallah. well, i'm going to bookmark that page and return to it again and again. thank Allah for la leche league, even though i've never actually called them...

can i just add - sweet berry salad dressings pair absolutely PERFECTLY with red onion in the salad! oh how lovely. only walnuts could make it better...

red onion, that's right. no wonder onions weren't working for me. Try red onions + tomatoes + balsamic vinegar.
(Yes, i came here looking for an update ...)
